Powering brands around the world
In Norway, where the current lockdown has made it near impossible for buyers to shop for cars in person, Whereby Embedded is connecting customers with car sellers on the popular website Finn.no. Similarly, India-based company Whitehat Jr is using Whereby to reach kids all over the world and teach them how to code from the comfort of their own homes.
We’re also being used in some unexpected and wonderful ways. Our API is used to power a virtual Happy Hour app sensation in Japan called Tacnom, used by millions of people to connect with their colleagues and friends after work. And, the social-planning website Evite is letting its customers organise virtual events using Whereby meetings.
We like to think this is just the beginning of tapping into the potential of the Whereby Embedded, with industries such as Customer Care, Retail and Events being prime opportunities for video meeting integration.
How it works
Once you’ve signed up, you will create one-time Whereby meeting rooms. These are then embedded into your product, giving you the flexibility to customize the look and feel of the video meeting experience to fit your brand. Every meeting is encrypted - with person-to-person calls fully encrypted end-to-end - and each link is deleted once the meeting has ended.
